The formula, explained.

Hyper D-3 + MK-7 brings together two nutrients involved in normal bone physiology. Vitamin D helps the body absorb calcium, while vitamin K is needed for proteins involved in bone metabolism.*

Each capsule supplies 125 mcg (5,000 IU) of vitamin D3 and 180 mcg of vitamin K2 as MK-7. This is a high-potency vitamin D amount, so it should not be treated as a default daily supplement for every adult.

Before you use it

The 5,000 IU vitamin D amount exceeds the adult daily upper intake level of 4,000 IU. Seek professional advice before use, especially if you use warfarin or other anticoagulants, take thiazide diuretics, or have kidney disease or high blood calcium.

Vitamin K2 and bone measurements

A three-year trial studied 180 mcg of MK-7 in postmenopausal women and found less decline in some bone measurements. It does not establish the same effect in younger adults or with a different formulation.
